Questions, answered.
What we are building, who is building it, and how you can play right now.
- Is there anything I can play right now?
Yes. The Vertice Extraction is a free quickstart: a four-to-five hour one-shot with a basic rules overview, nine pregenerated characters, and a seek-and-hide scenario. It needs no prior reading and no signup.
- What dice do I need?
Eight-sided dice. E-Scape uses a dice pool, count-successes mechanic built entirely on d8s.
- How many players does it take?
The quickstart is written for three to five players plus a GM, and runs in a single four-to-five hour session.
- What makes it different from other RPGs?
Characters start strong and get weaker. Digital degradation accumulates, Glitches and Bugs carve into your stats, and XP is spent buying back what you have lost rather than piling on new abilities.
- What experience do you have with TTRPGs?
We have over 30 years’ experience running and playing tabletop and live-action roleplaying games. Cutting our teeth in Vampire: the Masquerade LARPs, we have since played everything from Dungeons & Dragons, Call of Cthulhu, and Ars Magica to Wildsea and Shock: Social Science Fiction.
- Do you use AI-generated artwork?
No, and we never will. Every artist we work with makes the same commitment before we begin. All E-Scape illustration is by Rayven Studios.
- What is the status of the core book?
E-Scape: A Science Fantasy Roleplaying Game is our first publication and is in active development. The free quickstart is out now, and the full core book is on its way.
- When is the Kickstarter?
The campaign has pre-launched on Kickstarter. Follow it there and you will be notified the moment it goes live.
- Will you have a storefront?
No. We plan to operate online.

Be first through the door.
The Kickstarter for E-Scape is coming. Early backers get the best of it — and we’d rather tell you directly than hope the algorithm does it for us.
Signup goes live shortly. In the meantime, follow the campaign on Kickstarter and you’ll be notified the moment it launches.
